It is our great pleasure to invite you to Indiana University for the GLACURH 2008 Conference.

We are extremely excited about the opportunity to host this conference and have great confidence in our bid team. They have accomplished a lot in a short amount of time and we believe the enthusiasm will continue. We are confident in their ability to be successful in hosting a great GLACURH and they have already garnered support from many aspects of campus - including Residential Programs and Services, Indiana Memorial Union, Dean of Students Office and the Office of Diversity Education. Indiana University looks forward to sharing it's services, staff, and facilities with our colleagues from other schools as well as introducing them to our spirit and traditions.

The Residence Halls Association and National Residence Hall Honorary members are also in support of the conference and have pledged their time to assisting the conference committee. The conference will be incorporated into our regular business meetings and regular updates will be given by the conference co-chairs. We are excited to share with others and assist with conference efforts. We are happy to increase our involvement at the regional level and serve GLACURH as a conference host.

We look forward to welcoming you to come take a ride on GLACURH 2008: Tour de Leadership!!

Sincerely Yours,

Sarah Colan and Jen Dunning, Co-Chair, GLACURH 2008

We invite you to click the links to find out more information about Bloomington and Indiana University. Furthermore, the City of Bloomington, as a core value, values diversity, especially for the GLBTQ community. As such, they have created VisitGayBloomington.com, which features a wealth of GLBTQ resources and information for visitors and new Bloomington residents.

Finally, we encourage you to learn more about the Little 500 race, which is the highlighted piece of "The World's Greatest College Weekend". It also is the basis of the theme for this year's conference.

The GLACURH 2008 staff would like to thank the Bloomington Conference and Visitor's Bureau, who is serving as one of the sponsors for the 2008 conference.

Q: How many delegates can we have?

A: Delegations have been capped at 12 including advisors.  You may register alternates and we will communicate with you once registration has closed as to if and how many alternates you can bring.

Q: What is the time line for registering?
A: Registration will open on September 10 and close on October 10.

Q: What is the deadline for registration?
A: Schools will need to register by October 10 and soon after will be notified if any alternates will be accepted.

Q: How do I register my delegation?
A: Registration will occur via the GLACURH 2008 website (glacurh2008.emeryjordan.com). Each school has its own specific registration portal for adding, deleting, and editing registrations for programs and delegations. All schools will have to send an e-mail to receive their GLACURH registration login information.

Untitled Document Q: How much does it cost for each delegate?
A: Delegate cost is $133 with advisor costs being $222.50 (single room) and $177.50 (double room)

Q: How does registration work?
A: Each school has their own registration username and password. You will only be able to see and/or edit delegates from your institution. In addition, through this portal, your institution will find out about which delegates have been accepted, roommate assignments, and all programming information. Our hope is that by placing all of the information there - you will only have one place to get all of the information that your school will need for the conference.

Q: How can I register for the conference?

A: Here are the instructions for registration for GLACURH 2008

1. Send an e-mail using the e-mail form or e-mail glacurh08@yahoo.com to get your school's login username and password. Make sure that you keep this - each school has a different login and password.

2. Go to the Conference Information tab, select Delegation Registration from the Registration drop down menu.

3. Select your school's name from the drop down list and click go. A box will pop up asking for your school's login and password. Enter the specific login and password for your school.

Entering/Editing Delegate Registration:
To enter a delegate, select register a new delegate from the Delegation Registration Functions menu. Fill out the form that opens completely. Please make sure that you select YOUR institution from the list. If you don't they will be registered under whatever institution that you select, and you will not be able to edit their information.

You have the ability to edit all delegates from your institution (but not other institutions). You can select what delegate to edit by selecting edit delegate registration from the Delegation Registration Functions menu. You will only need to make the change to the registration - you do not need to re-enter the registration. After making any edits, just click submit and the changes are made.

Delete Delegate Registration:
To delete a delegate, select delete a delegate from the Delegation Registration Functions menu. Select the appropriate delegate, click Submit, and they will be deleted.

Delegation Hotel Assignments:
We will post delegate hotel assignments around October 17th, which is 2 days after we will be sending final delegation rosters to all institutions.

Q: Will I receive any confirmations for delegates that I have registered?
A: You will not receive any confirmation that you have registered a delegate. However, all currently registered delegates and programs will show up on the home page of your school's registration site. This information is "real-time", meaning that you will always have a constant update on our records of registration for your delegation.

Q: How can I receive the invoice for my delegation?
A: We will be notifing all schools of their final delegation counts on or before October 15th. At this time, your institution can login into their portal site to print out a final invoice for the costs of your delegation at the conference. All invoices reflect the costs that your delegation has from the conference.
